Life And Health Insurance Pre-Licensing Requirements In West Virginia
You must fulfill pre-licensing requirements to take the West Virginia life or health insurance license exam. The requirement is 20 hours for each line or 40 hours for both life and health.
Agent Broker Training Center has state-approved pre-licensing courses that can fulfill this requirement. We also administer the pre-licensing certification exam you will take after completing the course to prove your knowledge.
West Virginia Life And Health Insurance Exam RequirementsAfter earning your certificate of pre-licensing completion, the next step is to contact PearsonVUE to set up your exam for a $88 fee. When you arrive at the exam, you will need the certificate and two forms of valid I.D., at least one of which must be a photo I.D., like a driver's license, state I.D. card, military I.D. or passport.
In West Virginia, the Life Insurance Examination is 94 questions in two hours. The Accident and Health Examination is 96 questions in two hours. All questions are multiple-choice and administered on a computer. If you get 70 percent or more correct, congratulations! You have passed.
Next, you can contact IdentoGO to set up a fingerprinting appointment and have them send the fingerprints to the West Virginia Insurance Commission. When fingerprinted, you will receive a 12-digit TCN number. Submit this number with your application. There is a fee for fingerprinting. Finally, go to NIPR to apply for your license and follow the instructions provided.
