About The North Carolina Insurance Adjuster Exam

Once you have studied, submit your application with the required fee. Be sure to bring your candidate I.D. and a valid government-issued photo I.D. with you when you arrive at the scheduled time and location of your test.

You can apply for the Independent Adjuster license or the Company/Independent Firm Adjuster license. Whichever you choose, you will have two hours and fifteen minutes to complete the 100-question test.

For each test, a score of 70 or better indicates a passing grade. Once you pass the exam and submit to a background check, your license application will be reviewed and you will receive an email with further instructions within 48-72 hours.
